Questcon Technologies Celebrates 15 Years of Service

Software quality assurance provider marks crystal anniversary,
positions itself for continued growth

Greensboro, N.C. and Stamford, Conn. - March 14, 2006 - Questcon Technologies, a leading provider of software Quality Assurance (QA) and process improvement solutions and a division of Howard Systems International, Inc. (HSI), today announced the company has reached an important milestone, marking its fifteenth year in the software QA and testing marketplace. The company's success and longevity stems from a solid track record of providing innovative QA and process improvement services, offering practical solutions and support. Questcon's extensive expertise in test automation tools continues to promote further expansion of its customer base.

Originally named Greensboro Software Company, Questcon was formed in 1991 to fill a void for QA and testing expertise within the Greensboro, N.C. market. Growing in just a decade from an eight-person team to an organization with more than 65 employees, the company changed its name to Questcon Technologies and was acquired in 2002 by HSI.

Carl Kaufmann, manager of the automated testing team for Misys Healthcare Systems, a leading healthcare IT company and Questcon client, commented, "Questcon's team provided us with experienced staff who assisted us through processes which have been instrumental in clearing a path for automated testing opportunities within our business. They helped prove the worth of maintaining an in-house team for quality deliverables and demonstrated the importance the group has in making an impact across our organization."

Since Questcon began 15 years ago, the industry has seen a positive shift in the number of companies making QA and testing a top priority. Questcon is built on a firm foundation demonstrated by its documented QuestAssured™ methodology which provides a sound risk management process, enabling QA throughout the software development lifecycle. Emphasizing the approach and strategy for QA and testing improvement and test automation implementation, Questcon pays attention to the practicality of solutions to ensure a company can start small but has the groundwork in place to grow into a superior QA and testing organization.

Chris Laney, vice president of sales for Questcon, commented, "Just eight years ago, QA and testing was often at the bottom of the initiatives list for companies. It has quickly come to the forefront as organizations realize proper QA and testing techniques not only reduce costs, but also provide a competitive edge in the marketplace as clients demand software free of errors. Questcon will continue to pursue opportunities to provide companies with the expertise needed to maximize their return on investment."
