This consulting position is responsible for the following:
- Assessing client testing processes and environments to determine the best automation strategy
- Providing automation recommendations to the client including
- Application(s) suitability for automation
- Optimal automation framework for client application(s) and environment
- Test data strategy
- Durations and resource requirements for automating applications
- Developing the framework
- Implementing the framework and overseeing the creation of test automation scripts.
- Leading team of test automation scripters on client projects.
- Training and mentoring client resources
- Training and mentoring internal Questcon resources
*Occasionally, the Senior Practice Manager may work alone at a client with no direct reports when the projects are short and less complex.
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Extensive experience working with TestDirector, WinRunner and/or QuickTest Pro.
- Knowledge of automation methodologies and frameworks.
- Ability to assess applications and determine best framework methodology to implement.
- Knowledge of test methodologies.
- Experience in manual testing.
- Must be able to work on/lead multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to manage teams and work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent consulting skills.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Travel required – distance and amount dependent upon location of consultant
- Certified Product Consultant or Certified Instructor (CPC, CI designation) is a major plus.
