Questcon Technologies Awarded Connecticut Quality Improvement Innovation Award

Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership Recognizes Questcon

for Innovative Work in Automating Regression Testing

  Greensboro, N.C. and Stamford, Conn. – Oct. 19, 2007 Questcon Technologies, a leading provider of software quality assurance (SQA) and process improvement solutions and a division of Howard Systems International, Inc. (HSI), was presented with a Connecticut Quality Improvement Innovation Award at the 20th Annual Conference on Quality and Innovation in Westbrook, Conn. Applicants included companies across health care, education, government, non-profit organizations, manufacturing and service companies. Questcon was recognized for its innovative work with customer Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, to automate regression testing of the company’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) application. 

 The Connecticut Quality Innovation Award is presented to companies that approach business challenges in an innovative manner and create solutions that improve quality, performance and marketplace competitiveness. Implementing the process improvement initiatives suggested by Questcon for its software development allowed Misys to save valuable time and money, while ensuring company delivery of a quality product to its healthcare customers.

  The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership’s Innovation Award is broadly based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Performance Excellence.  Nominees are judged by Baldrige trained examiners based on a case study outlining the opportunities and challenges faced, the company’s innovation to solve the challenge and the positive results from implementing the innovation.
